European Antiques – Art of the People
In this, the first of a series of articles discussing the growth in marketing it used to be called Folk Art and the liquidity of the packaging materials every day.

The whole genre started with posters and they have spent to decorate the walls of the premises of the students to be now very collectible in their own right. Antique Posters can now command extremely large sums of money depending on their condition and content of their own posters.

If you are looking to amass a particular brand or category, the secret seems to be for looking for something that is of long standing that has a variety of items to discover.
Some British brands have been around for some time and well known examples include Lyles Golden Syrup has been in existence since 1883, HP Sauce (around since the 1870s) and Typhoo Tea (around 1905).
So The next time you see an old Tea Caddy or item of paraphernalia to good use in her kitchen cooking Grandmothers then treat it with respect because in the coming years it is possible the family sitting on a gold mine of untapped real.
