Who was the first person to promote communist ideas?
I asked this question on an exam in my western civilization class in a true / false format in relation to Karl Marx. I was right about 9 / 10 questions for the exam, but I was very solid on the other nine responses and this seemed the more likely it is that I was wrong. So if I was wrong, which was the first person to promote communism?
Although approached to varying degrees from many figures in the long tradition of socialist thought, Marx and Engels were indeed at first to advance the term "communism" Unlike other schools of thought on the left.
